Exterior Walk-Around

• Inspect your roof from the ground. Look for missing, cracked, or curling shingles.
• Check all exterior caulking around windows, doors, and where siding meets trim.
• Examine your foundation for new cracks. Cracks wider than a quarter inch need professional attention.
• Clean and inspect gutters and downspouts.
• Look for wood rot on trim, fascia boards, window sills, and deck boards.
• Check that exterior faucets work and aren't leaking from frost damage.

Deck and Patio

• Inspect deck boards for warping, splintering, and rot. Replace damaged boards now.
